From National Highways We’re writing to inform you of some upcoming essential drainage work on the M1 junction 16 southbound exit slip. When will this work take place? We’ll work overnight, between 8pm and 6am, on Thursday 30 July 2026 and Friday 31 July 2026. To carry out our work safely, we’ll close the M1 junction

Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd are intending on carrying out bridge examination works on the above road.  To undertake this work safely will require that the road will be closed from 9pm to 4am and it is expected that the works will commence on the 26th July 2026.
