Calling all Gilbert and Sullivan fans in Northamptonshire! Make sure you don’t miss a Gala concert at All Saints’ Church, West Haddon, near Northampton on Saturday 12 September when ‘The Wandering Minstrels’ (www.wanderingminstrels.org.uk) pay their first visit for an evening of Savoy excerpts entitled
‘THE WORLD OF GILBERT AND SULLIVAN’.
They will sing, act and dance their way through eight of the immortal Savoy Operas including “The Yeomen of the Guard”, “The Pirates of Penzance”, “HMS Pinafore”, “The Mikado”, “The Gondoliers”, “Utopia, Limited”, “The Grand Duke”, “Ruddigore” and “Trial by Jury”. Artistes taking part in this concert are Joanna Brabbs, Emma Stratton, Charles Mills, Stephen Godward and Tim Hurst-Brown, with Peter Hewitt at the piano.

This event, which has been generously sponsored by Campbells estate agents, is in aid of All Saints’ Church and begins at 7.30pm. Wine and nibbles will be available in the interval. The concert is a light-hearted evening of excerpts from the Gilbert and Sullivan comic operas, presented in period costume and performed in traditional style.
