West Northamptonshire Council is inviting feedback on its draft Climate Change Strategy, developed as part of its commitment to achieving net zero by 2045. This strategy outlines the steps needed to address local climate change impacts and reduce greenhouse gas emissions, supporting the UK Government’s national net zero target for 2050.
Climate action is a top priority and requires collaborative efforts from residents, businesses, and stakeholders. In August and September 2024, feedback was gathered to shape the draft strategy. This consultation offers a further opportunity to share your thoughts, concerns, and ideas to help refine the final plan.
The Council is particularly interested in views on the strategy’s vision, challenges, and aims. Does the vision align with the community’s needs and expectations for tackling climate change? Your feedback will play a vital role in ensuring the strategy reflects local priorities and secures a sustainable future for West Northamptonshire.
The consultation is open until 19 January 2024.
